Win a scholarship for the 2018 summer session (June 4- Aug 10) to attend the Intensive English Language Institute at Utah State University.
Details
As a new student in the Intensive English Lanuage Institude, you will take classes from a dynamic and experienced faculty. Before classes begin you will take a placement examination and then be placed into one of four levels based on your score. You will take classes that will help you develop the linguistic and academic skills and intercultural competence necessary to be successful in your academic pursuits at USU and become independent citizens and leaders in a constantly changing world.
A benefit of completing the Intensive English Language Institute is that students can enter directly into their major. You do not need a TOEFL or IELTS score to take classes at Utah State University.
In addition, when you study in the Intensive English Language Institute you receive credit for each class. 18 to 36 of these credits may be applied as elective credit toward graduation from USU. Students may be able to graduate up to a year earlier!

- Finalists must apply on the IELI website and be accepted at USU to claim the scholarship.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate before July 2018.
- Students must demonstrate a high beginning level of English language.
- Must be able to enter and study in the United States.
