Overview

The National University of Singapore opens 2 internship positions per year at the International Relations Office. The intern will work with the team, which manages short-term study abroad programs such as international internships, summer programs and research attachments.

Job Scope:
The intern will work with the Global Opportunities team, which manages short-term international programs such as internships, summer programs and research attachments.

Specific duties include:   
  • Compile, analyze and present data for management reports
  • Research on universities / companies for potential partnerships
  • Research and create publicity materials
  • Engage faculty and students on study abroad programs
  • Host overseas visitors / partners
  • Organize marketing and student events
  • Prepare and attend meetings with NUS’ industry partners
Learning Objectives:
  1. Gain an understanding of internationalization in higher education.
  2. Develop project development and management skills.
  3. Develop research and analytical skills.
  4. Develop networking skills with university and industry partners.
Duration of Internship:
Minimum of 6 months, preferably between:
  • January and July
  • August and February of the following year

Description of Ideal Candidate:

To be eligible to apply for the IARU Summer Global Internship Program @NUS, you must:
  • be a current enrolled degree seeking student at one of the IARU universities (except National University of Singapore): Australian National University; University of Cape Town; ETHZurich; Peking University; University of California, Berkeley; University of Cambridge; University of Copenhagen; University of Oxford; The University of Tokyo; or Yale University;
  • have completed at least one full year of university study; and
  • be fluent in English
