Our wish is to create a platform where you can chase quality and excellence in order to raise
awareness on World issues covering fundamental human rights, regional and international
security, lacking of health care systems, discrimination and more.
To concretize our desire for giving birth to such platform, we offer you five different paths to
be followed regarding the abovementioned issues: European Court of Human Rights where
predominantly law students can learn the procedure of the court and exercise their skills on a
legal basis. A thrilling historical simulation of English Civil War which took place around
1640s. Under the Department of Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs, World Health
Organization(WHO) will be the place to discuss about both regional and international health
issues. In addition, delegates of UNESCO will seek for creative solutions concerning
impaired artifacts and elaborate on the right to education of displaced persons. Last but not
least for the maintenance of international peace and security, the most powerful body of UN,
Security Council, will bring you an opportunity to challenge your competence of crisis
management.
Finally, on behalf of my most distinguished Director-General Ms. Cemre Başkır and all the
members of the Academic and Organization teams of BAŞMUN 2017, I would like to extend
