Overview
World Youth Alliance International Summer Camp is an exciting and personally enriching experience for young people aged 13 to 18. During this intensive one-week program, young people from all over the world come together to learn about the dignity of the human person and how this idea is the starting point for change in the world! Participants learn to articulate and defend a vision of the human person that is both positive and critically engaged with global issues.
Details
This year’s camp will take place from July 10-July 17, 2017 in New York City, at a location TBD but close to many attractions of the city. Guided by our dynamic team of staff and counselors, campers will take part in a fun and lively city adventure, including an array of NYC excursions throughout the week.
Camp Topics Include:
- Is the human person a subject with dignity?
- What is authentic freedom?
- Migration and Development: How do we respect the rights of migrants?
- How do we become champions for the defense of the human person?
Outdoor and Cultural Activities:
- Sports and Recreation
- Sightseeing around New York City
- Kayaking on the Hudson River
- International Food and Dance
- Movie Nights
- Model UN and a trip to the UN Headquarters

Description of Ideal Candidate:
The WYA International Summer Camp is open to all applicants age 13-18 years old. We highly encourage high school students and university students to apply. We welcome campers from all cities and all countries all over the world. We are accepting 15-20 summer campers this year.

Cost/funding for participants:
The camp fee of $650 per camper covers all accommodations and meals for the duration of the camp.
Scholarship Requests
Requests or inquiries for scholarships can be sent to northamerica@wya.net after the ISC application has been submitted. Scholarships can be approved to waive the camp fee of $650. Airfare and visa processing costs are not included in the scholarship.
